This versatile endive is perfect for adding to salads, soups, and sautés. Known as escarole, it is also the key ingredient in Utica Greens, a beloved regional side dish from NYC and Central New York. Flavorful and adaptable, it’s a great addition to any garden. Growing Instructions: Plant in prepared soil 1/4 inch deep. Thin plants to 12 inches apart. The young thinnings are considered "baby greens" and can be eaten. For a second harvest in the fall, plant again in late summer.
