In his new E.P ‘El Desafio’, which translates to ‘The Defiance‘ or ‘The Challenge’ Equinoxious aka Rogelio Serrano yet again surfs through modern retrofuturist passages and modular intricacies. A sound reminiscent of an unlikely mash-up between Drexciya and New Order at moments, yet keeping at heart the tradition of minimal-synth, Serrano carefully sculpts and seeks for his own trademark sonic style within each outing. In a world saturated with digitalism and cold, lifeless preset electronica Equinoxious takes the challenge and shares with his listeners a burst of texture rich analog synth, reverberating corridors and groovy dance rhythms.
