Product Description: Savu Trumpet pods belong to the genus Cariniana, trumpet-like pods found across Brazil and small regions of Colombia, with hollow centers and a wide range of pod thickness across the genus. These hollow pods are ideal for creating caves for the most popular South American fishes like plecos, otocinclus, and corydoras; however, they can be utilized by all blackwater-loving aquarium fish as optimal caves for seeking refuge and spawning. They are relatively lightweight compared to other carinianas in the genus, but the same ideal size for both nano blackwater aquariums and larger biotope blackwater aquariums. In the botanical method, blackwater, and biotope aquarium, we see these functional aesthetics release medium levels of brown tannins and last on the substrate for many months.
