Product Description: Sappan Wood (Biancaea sappan) comes from the Indian Redwood Tree, or the Sappan Tree, in Southeast Asia. Ours is sustainably harvested in Indonesia, where it is air-dried and then broken up before being packaged in our compostable pouches. Betta Breeders use this wood closely, along with catappa leaves, as there are abundant antioxidants and antimicrobial properties within the bark. Not to be used in the 'replacement' of medications, we have found its use 'with' medications as beneficial to enhance the healing process of fish. The Sappan wood extract contains a natural color called brazilin that can be used as a food coloring and antioxidant. This bag and its contents are biodegradable! Did you know our product packaging is made from renewable and sustainable sugarcane? So just like the botanicals inside, it will compost when returned to nature. Not for human consumption. Preparation NOT Required. Quantities: 40g+ Sappan Wood. Chucks of about 1" to 2" in length and
