Product Description: Terentang Leaves (Campnosperma brevipetiolata) are a rare and seasonally available leaf, new in the botanical method hobby. Sourced from Southeast Asia, around Indonesia, these durable leaves release a moderate amount of brown tannins and biofilms, perfect for supporting ecological processes in both aquatic and semi-aquatic habitats. The Terentang Leaf's structure and compounds make them ideal for blackwater aquariums housing Bettas, Gourami, and Parosphromenus, where these fish thrive in low pH, tinted water, and benefit from botanicals that encourage their natural foraging and sheltering behaviors. In our setups, we layer Terentang alongside Macaranga, Sterculia, Jambolan, and Catappa bark tubes to create a functionally aesthetic substrate layer that promotes natural foraging behaviors and hides found in Southeast Asia. In bioactive enclosures, Terentang Leaves break down slowly, serving as a food source for clean-up crew members while offering curled, protectiv
