Pennsylvania Dutch Birch Beer The Pennsylvania Dutch brand has a rich history that is closely tied to its roots in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Vermont and Ohio as well as the Carolina’s where German immigrants first settled in the late 1700’s, for over two centuries this region has been known as Pennsylvania Dutch Country, famous for it’s unique heritage, folk culture and Amish traditions. In the early 1930’s a local soft drink company in Philadelphia named ‘Krims’ was formed by Nate and Irwin Krim. In the 1940’s they changed their company’s name to Ju’cy Orange of America. A successful team, Nate handled sales while Irwin a flavor chemist was responsible for developing their soda flavors.
