The performance of the Shimano Acera derailleur coupled with the Shimano SL-TX Tourney shifter is impeccable. The shifts are smooth and precise, while the light-action thumb lever responds quickly. The V-Brakes, by Tektro, are the descendants of early mountain racing designs and as such, afford the rider precise and reliable braking. All-around the design is clean, modern and a pleasure to ride. Despite the retro design notes and included fenders, the modern construction and materials keep weight astonishingly low. The styling of the bike is comprised of a gloss black coat, with alloy components and white tires resulting in a timelessly luxurious finish from tip to tail.
