John Higby and myself (Paul Zografos, Founder of BBB!) chatted a little while back about making a yoyo designed purely to do sparking tricks for his stage show. With COVID slowing his ability to do gig work, John began pumping out some amazing artwork ( www.bigyoyoart.com ) and the ideas started rolling. The design philosophy behind the aptly dubbed Spark o’ Matic 5000 is purely for large surface area, high rpm and long spin times while remaining very stable under the impact of sparking the yoyo across a rough surface to create titanium “Sparks” on stage.Mass was our friend here.
