RICH & WARMING OAHU HOLIDAY DARK ROAST You'll taste warm holiday spices and chocolate covered raisins in this sweet and spicy holiday dark roast, made from 100% Oahu single estate coffee. Waialua Natural was hand-harvested and sun-dried on the Wahiawa Plateau overlooking Oahu’s North Shore. Although coffees from this area are typically harvested by machines, this was harvested by hand so that the harvesters could select evenly ripe cherries to sun dry on lifted racks. After 14-20 days, the coffee cherries look like raisins and smell a bit like dried apricots. Once they're sufficiently dried, they'll sit in a closed container for several weeks while the coffee bean "cures" enrobed in it's fruit skins. The curing process settles the natural acids in the coffee, while gently flavoring the bean with fruit notes.We suggest enjoying this soul-warming Waialua Natural via French press or as an americano.
