The name “Castes Tintas” simply means “red grapes” in the Galician language—an homage to the mosaic of native varieties that make up this singular blend. Sourced from biodynamically and organically farmed vineyards (aged 13–20 years) along the Avia River, the wine is spontaneously fermented in old chestnut casks, with 40% whole cluster and a gentle one-week maceration, then aged in stainless steel. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, with minimal sulfur, it’s a pure expression of Galicia’s red-fruited, forested soul.
