The Chateau history dates back to 1762. Thomas Jefferson considered Marquis de Terme one of the top 16 estates in Bordeaux. The Seneclauze family has owned the estate since 1935. Tasting notes: Red Wine. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot. Aged 16-18 months in French Oak, 50% new. Dark and tannic in its youth, the wine has started to reveal itself and is now a joy of orange peel, blackberry, fresh leather, and fennel seed. Reviews Loads of dark berries and chocolate follow through to a full body. Velvety and tangy with a long finish. Lots of orange peel. Dusty texture. Better in 2017. ~94 James Suckling Sumptuous
