Acquired by the illustrious Baron Edmond de Rothschild in 1979 (Châteaux Clarke and Malmaison's owner, and connected to the Lafite family) this estate boasts a rich history and a unique terroir. Originally known as Château Peyre-Lebade, it was renamed in honour of the renowned painter Odilon Redon, who spent his childhood and much of his active life on the property, drawing inspiration from its serene landscapes. Château Odilon stands out in the Médoc region, where Cabernet Sauvignon traditionally reigns supreme. Here, Merlot takes centre stage, thriving in the clay-limestone soils that provide excellent drought resistance. The vineyard, spanning 55 he
