He previously owned a very successful Spanish import company, called Alexandre Jules, and he currently writes for various wine magazines. But his main passion is and has always been producing rare unique wines. His ambition is to create high-toned, "mineral" whites and earthier, herbal reds. He selects grapes from different vineyards in California, mainly in Santa Barbara, where the vineyards usually have marked coastal influence.​ In the cellar, he uses minimal intervention winemak
