Slime Lily Art on Canvas in a Green Bijou Frame. These lilies are distributed mainly in southern and eastern Africa, with some species occurring in northern Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. They are generally fleshy and sappy. The flowers of some species are scented, especially at night. There are close to 117 different species of this plant. In general, they are slender but robust plants with many flowers resembling those of the lilies themselves. Depending on which species it is, the plant can produce 3 to 150 flowers at any given time and these plants thrive in sandy soil or soil that drains well. They also prefer full afternoon sun.  These plants cannot stand temperatures below 25 degrees Fahrenheit.
