Batch Disc Brake Mountain Bike

Our least expensive mountain bike, the Batch Disc Brake Mountain Bike is one of the few 1x drivetrain equipped mountain bikes at this price point.  1x drivetrains, which means just a single chainring up front matched with a wider gear set in back, have been available on $1,000+ bikes for years. They are just now becoming available on more affordable models. The benefit is that you still have low gearing for the hills but shifting overall is simpler and more reliable. Front derailleurs have never worked well off-road. All you lose is the very highest gears which are almost never used anyway. The other equipment is pretty standard for this level bike: aluminum frame, double-wall rims, mechanical disc brakes and front suspension. This is a great affordable bike for teens and young adults who want to venture off-road.
