Description:Scientific Name: Caridina cf. cantonensisCommon Name: Blue Steel ShrimpFully Grown Size: 1.2 inches Blue Steels are a cross of Tangerine Tiger or Aura Blue Tiger crossed with a Blue Bolt. These look identical to Blue bolts but its coloration is alittle more darkening on the blue parts of its body. These Blue Steels has a sparkly body instead of a solid coloration making them unique for macro photography. The small details these Blue Steels show is quite mesmerizing.  A general rule of thumb of keeping shrimps is 10 shrimps per gallon.  Blue Steels are non-aggressive and spend most of their time eating algae and biofilm off plants, glass, and substrate. Blue Steels are easy to care for as they require remineralized RO water. When using fertilizer, make sure it does not contain copper as it is harmful to the shrimp’s health.
