Paul Cardew Collectibles Alice In Wonderland Large Teapot

Designed by world-renowned Master Teapot Maker, Paul Cardew, this large novelty teapot pays homage to Lewis Caroll's innocent-eyed Alice as she ponders her way through Wonderland. Wearing a bowtie, the removable lid, Cardew's artwork paints a cast of characters, which includes the Queen and King of Hearts and the Mad Hatter. This detail runs from the teapot spout to around the handle. A lovely touch is the base collar with hearts and a cursive "A". An incredibly eye-catching addition to any teapot collection.  Signed at the base by Paul Cardew. Origin: Thailand; pre-owned; 6 Cup Dimensions: 8 7/8"H x 8"W x 6"D Condition: Very Good. Slight crazing is noted in the face area; a small chip to the underside of the bow tip; a smaller chip to collar front. The teapot is clean, polished, and free of any cracks, stains, or wear.
