Haddon Hall, pattern B-1451 (1948-2011) designed by John Wadsworth, presents a floral melody of vibrant colors against a white background that is highlighted by a bright gold trim to the edge. This fiftieth anniversary (1948-1998) commemorative cake plate, with a stylish swirl texture, is believed to be a "second quality" piece, and perhaps this is from the floral detail not being centered evenly (it is off by 1/8").  With its vivid colors and fanciful floral design, this issue is hardly noticeable and does not detract from the beauty and appeal of the plate.  For treats, the bon bon bowl, with a honeycomb textured finial lid is a classy piece atop any mantle, shelf, side or console table.
