Paragon England Mint Green and White Embossed with Red/ Purple and Violet Anemone Flowers Teacup/Saucer Pair, c.1952-1960
A serene mint green borders a raised gold-trimmed white sunburst design of embossed scales as vibrant, large anemone flowers of red, purple, and violet dominate the saucer well and scallop-rimmed cup interior. Very mid-century but with a unique artistic hint of turkish/art deco style to the sunburst arches. Origin: England; pre-owned; pattern A2254 Dimensions: Cup-2 3/4"H x 3 1/2"W opening Saucer- 5 5/8"W Condition: Great. There is a tiny speck to the china in the cup interior. The back stamp to the cup underside appears to have been poorly applied; it is perfect on the saucer. There are no chips, cracks, stains, crazing, or wear. The design is clean, and the colors are sharp, the flowers vivid, and the gold trim is intact with no wear. The glaze is shiny, bright, and smooth.
