Advertised in 1938 with cuts of "flowering vines" and "clarity of raindrops", Granville by Rock Sharpe celebrates springtime with both clear and frosted light-reflecting round, elongated and oval clear dots, leaf, and floral cut detail. Twirl its six-sided, narrow stem (#1012), and watch the bowl's lower notched arch cuts gleam in the light. The Cataract-Sharpe Company's specialty was in glass cutting crystal blanks, sourced from the Libbey Glass Co. (Ohio), A.H. Heisey and Co. (Ohio), and Bryce Brothers (Pennsylvania) glass manufacturers. No longer in existence and widely collected, the signature radiant cuts and unique, highly polished appearance solidifies Rock Sharpe's designs as timeless and elegant American-made craftsmanship, choice additions to any vintage or contemporary crystal collection.
