Wood's Lamp

This lightweight handheld unit emits ultraviolet light that helps diagnose skin conditions. The Wood's light or Wood's lamp was invented by the physicist Robert Wood. It's a device that emits long-wave ultraviolet light. When used in a dark room, it can help diagnose various skin conditions, and therefore will be an essential tool to select accurate treatments and appropriate home care products. Each color means something different: - White = thick corneal layer (excess dryness) - White spots = dead cells, abnormal skin maturation - Blue/White = normal healthy skin - Purple = thin skin, lacking moisture - Light violet = dehydrated skin
