H Medium Broth from BBI is used for cultivating Escherichia Coli.    Background H Medium Broth is a moderately rich, general-purpose media that is used for growing Escherichia Coli. The broth contains a large quantity of Tryptone, which will provide the growing organisms with the basic nutrients and growth factors needed to support growth1. Sodium chloride is added to the mixtures in various amounts to help maintain the proper isotonic environment for the bacteria during its growth phase.  Formula: (Per Liter)  H Medium Broth  Tryptone = 10.0g  Sodium Chloride = 8.0g  Final pH 7.0 ± 0.2 at 25℃ Storage  Dehydrated media should be stored in a dry area at 18-26℃. Prepared media should be stored at 2-8℃.  Method of Preparation Suspend 18 grams of H Medium Broth powder in 1 L of purified water.  Allow the powder to dissolve. Heat and stir gently if required.  Autoclave at 121○C for 15 minutes.  Allow the solution to cool to 50○C or below before adding antibiotics or additional nutr
