DESCRIPTION This hand-painted plate in the Peacock design in green is festive and the perfect dinner plate.  This is one of 14 designs from Italian Artisan Geribi.  The small imperfections such as the difference in color, shape, diameter or small bubbles that form inside, do not constitute a defect but testify that it is actually an artisanal product.   ARTISAN STORY The Ribigini family has been producing majolica for many generations. Gerardo owns the workshop. His Father organized a group of artists after the ware and built a factory for 200 workers. When Gerardo was 15 his apprenticeship and started the business at the age of 20. Gerardo began as an apprentice at 15 years old. Now Gerardo, and his daughter, Claudia, hand-craft one of the most popular designs sold at Biordi, the peacock feather ceramic design. These patterns are special order.
