Our ThoughtsThe Nyamasheke coffee region in Rwanda, located in the western part of the country along the shores of Lake Kivu, is renowned for its high-quality Arabica coffee, particularly Bourbon varieties. The area's volcanic soil, high altitude (1,500–2,000 meters), and temperate climate create ideal growing conditions, resulting in coffee with bright acidity, complex fruit notes, and a smooth body. Smallholder farmers, often organized into cooperatives, dominate production, and the region has gained international recognition for its sustainable practices and contributions to Rwanda's growing specialty coffee industry.
