Pour boiling water over herbs, and infuse for 5-15 minutes. Herbs may steep longer than 15 minutes for a stronger infusion. Strain into a cup, discard herbs and drink warm. Add honey or other sweetener as desired. Decoction Directions Add 1 tablespoon of herbs to a pot or saucepan with a lid. Add 8 ounces of water and simmer gently, covered for 15-20 minutes. Strain into cup, and enjoy warm. Herbs may steep longer than 20 minutes for a strong decoction.  Bulk Elderberries are best prepared this way.
