Ladies and gentlemen, start your calculators!  Get ready to celebrate Pi Day on March 14th with our tabletop decoration. This holiday was first recognized in 1988 at the Exploratorium in San Francisco. The celebration was created by an employee (and physicist!) Larry Shaw as a way to make an important mathematical concept more fun and accessible. Math teachers, number lovers and science fans ran with the concept and soon math classrooms everywhere were celebrating...with pie of course! For the trivia buffs out there...The date was selected based on the first three digits of pi, 3.14. This date also happens to be Albert Einstein's birthday!   This item is for the banner only. If you would like to add the Celebration Stand, please do so below.
