Medieval Fantasy Assajj Ventress, 13"x19", Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Fan Art, Art Print
"The dark side is strong in me, for I am Sith." -Assajj Ventress, Volume 1, from the show Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2003) Medieval Fantasy Assajj Ventress is a digital illustration created in Adobe Photoshop that is based off of the original character design of Count Dooku's loyal assassin. The original Clone Wars animated series was a masterclass work that earned its place in fan's heart by following "the rule of cool." Simply put, the "rule of cool" is a method used to compact as much storytelling possible into nonstop action sequences. What made the action so impactful was the moment to moment character driven plot of each short story. In this same series, we get to meet Assajj Ventress, the rouge Jedi turned to the dark side by means of tragedy and grief. Following the intrinsic spirit of the original Clone Wars by using "the rule of cool," and being influenced by a modern twist on the characters from several artists online, this medieval corrupted rendition of Ventress was born!
