From Maestro Mezcalero Raúl Garcia, this batch is made entirely of the wild agave varietal known as Mexicano. Mexicano agave spirits tend to have rich, complex flavors - savory, sweet, vegetal, and fruity, and this batch is a prime example of that profile. This is a Mezcal for the bold, with big aromas and flavors. One of the first sensations we noticed was a lovely duality of sweet and savory aromas: fresh cut poblano pepper, barbecue sauce, melon skin, and a bright resounding ripe pineapple note. The first sip blasts off with intense flashes of spice and smoke enveloped by a blanket of sweet candy-like agave.
