This charming piece of children's art is an original page from the 1957 "My Slippers Are Red" written and illustrated by Charlotte Steiner.  We found the book at a recent estate sale. The book itself was very "well-loved" and we could see why. We fell in love with the artful simplicity of the illustrations and decided we needed to preserve as much as we could. We call this Found Art -- found art repurposed with custom matting to fit standard size frames."Boy Feeding Chicks" is a full page illustration from the book featuring a white mommy cat with her all-black kittens.
