This charming piece of children's art is an original page from the 1957 "My Slippers Are Red" written and illustrated by Charlotte Steiner. We found the book at a recent estate sale. The book itself was very "well-loved" and we could see why. We fell in love with the artful simplicity of the illustrations and decided we needed to preserve as much as we could. We call this Found Art -- found art repurposed with custom matting to fit standard size frames. "Mom and Babies" is a full page illustration from the book featuring a white mommy cat with her all-black kittens. We matted it in muted grey, acid free mat board with an acid free backing to fit any 11" x 14" frame of your choice. Note: beware when you are buying vintage art online - much of it is digital photos of art reprinted for sale.
