CONTRAFAYT KREAÜTERBUCH Book Details + Condition: Verlag Konrad Kolbl (München). Very scarce 1964 reprint of the original 1532 manuscript. 523 pages. Hardcover measuring 11" x 8.5". Reprint of original 1532 manuscript on herbalist medicine by the nominal "Father of Botany," Otto Brunfels. All text in German with beautiful full-page black and white illustrations of plants throughout. An overall firm and clean copy of a very scarce edition, with tight binding; lightly rubbed corners and edges; small split to upper spine edge - cloth only, binding not affected; small scuffs to rear board (shelf wear only); interior is clean and free of markings save faint embossed stamp on first two, and last two, page corners. Book does not appear to have been read.
