By Captain Frederick Marryat. 385 pp., with engraved frontispiece of the Phantom Ship. An early edition of the well known sea / gothic horror classic of the infamous Flying Dutchman — complete with a werewolf, ancient Arabian magic, and ghosts that can't be drowned. Firm binding; rubbed corners and edges; wear to boards, with rubbing; binding tape to spine, which appears to be part of an old rebinding job (with original paper label attached); toning to pages, with repaired tears to a few page edges (mainly at end); interior is clean and free of markings.
