Shop Notes: This is the second cookbook published by the Junior League of Durham and Orange Counties (North Carolina) - Carolina Thyme was published in 2001 as their third title.  It is fun to compare the three offerings by this league, but I think I like the cover design on this book the best with its mysterious and unexpected onion-theme that is reminiscent of Georgia O'Keefe's lilies.  The recipe themselves showcase fresh ingredients and are a welcome departure from the "microwave innovations" of a lot of other cookbooks released in the same era.
