Sashiko is a traditional form of Japanese folk embroidery used for decorative and functional fabrics. The sashiko threads are intertwined with the dobby cloth, resulting in a highly textured yet soft fabric that moves with the wearer. Iron Heart notes that on this particular garment, the arms are particularly narrow, so it may not work well for those with large forearms.
