Born in Tokyo Jaoan, Hideyuki Katsumata AKA Hanautah is a traditional Japanese artist who creates Ukiyoe/Manga style illustration and paintings. Throughout his career Hanautah has done exhibitions all over the globe including: Argentina, Brazil, China, France, Scotland, Taiwan, Thailand and many more. His art is well respected globally and locally in Japan. We are proud to announce our collaborative screen print "Fortune at Merry Gate" a 7 layer edition on 330 GSM sealed Japanese parchment, a soft and flexible but strong paper that resembles a leather finish.  Each of the 7 colors was mixed by hand from raw pigment and oil based inks and printed with spot color technique. The design shows 3 characters waving fans of blessings while riding the vibrant pink Japanese waves in the dense blue sky.
