Tall Stoneware Basket (Artist #869)

Stoneware  Handbuilt 7.25" tall x 7" diameter This stoneware form is a rounded, almost egg-like bowl that transitions into a more angular, upright section, almost architectural by contrast. The bowl's rim is irregular, neither trimmed nor softened, giving it an unfinished, living quality. The lower half is pale, sandy clay—raw and quiet. Then a broad diagonal band of deep reddish-brown wraps across the middle, like a horizon. The interior is a warm amber-peach glaze -smooth against the rough, matte exterior. The contrast is intentional: roughness outside, warmth inside.
