Origins & Craftsmanship The Balvenie is located in Dufftown, Speyside, Scotland, and is known for its traditional crafts (floor malting, onsite cooperage, etc.).  Maturation / Finishing: 1. The spirit is first aged in traditional American oak whisky barrels (ex-bourbon style).  2.
