Origins & Craftsmanship Produced by The Balvenie distillery in Dufftown, Speyside, a whisky house known for maintaining traditional practices (e.g. it’s one of the few distilleries with its own malting floor, cooperage, etc.).  Aged 21 years in traditional oak whisky casks, before being finished in port pipes (i.e. casks that have held port wine). This port-permission imparts additional fruit, sweetness, and richness to the spirit.  Bottled at 43% ABV, without the intensity of cask strength but with enough room for subtle flavours to come through.
