The Heavy Wetter Insert 3 total layers, each made of 2-ply fabric (plus topper on top layer). All 3 layers are heavy weight 2-ply bamboo/hemp. Layers are sewn together across the back with a single straight stitch. The front of the insert layers are left loose, like "petals". Great for easy washing and quick drying!
