This is my third painting in the pup series using a canvas size I haven't used much before. Like several of my previous paintings, I leaned into sculpting a sense of space with clouds. Here clouds are conceived as planes, volumes, and atmospheric space without any care for the laws of physics or chemistry. Heck, even the perspective lines are off at times, but this is abstract art so anything goes. For German Shepherd lovers, this painting might resonate with you in a special way. Though I've never owned a German Shepherd before, I immersed myself in countless images for inspiration. And my neighbor's German Shepherd exerted some influence over me since she lets me know how much she hates my guts every time I mow my lawn.
