Another benefit of having the Organizational Units configured is that we can now take advantage of them within the Account Structures and add them as financial dimensions. This allows us to include them when posting to the ledger to further refine our postings and assignment by department, business unit, and cost center. We can also have different versions of the Account Structures for the different types of accounts – i.e., the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss structures do not have to include dimensions that don't apply to them. This module will show how we can extend our Chart of Accounts to include Financial Dimensions and how they work when using them within Journals.
