Sunny Stripes
This stunning wrap was knit by my daughter! When she was home in between semesters of her accelerated nursing program, I gave her free reign to raid my treasured stash of yarn. (Why yes, yes I do love her!) As if guided by a divining rod, she immediately pulled out a gradient set of yarn that was the exact opposite of the dreary, wintery days we were experiencing. All I needed to do was suggest some complementary yarns and get out of the way. Working with the beautiful shifting color, Elizabeth opted to start with the mulberry pink first and knit bold blocks of color, segueing from pinks through oranges and landing in she called "saturated cantaloupe". In between each of the broader stripes, she knit a thin wedge of creamy white, which is comprised of mohair merino single ply and lace. (That's knitter-speak for "absurd loveliness".) And then!
