Aster novae angliae  Commonly known as the New England Aster, this native perennial is one of the tallest of the native Asters. Gorgeous blue-lavender flowers with orange centers cover the plant from August through fall making it an important late season food source for butterflies and other pollinators.  Thrives in full sun to part shade with well-drained soil. Be sure to give space for good air circulation. Drought tolerant and pollinator friendly make this long-lived perennial an excellent choice. Deer tend to stay away from this plant as well.  An excellent choice for butterfly gardens, cottage gardens and fall borders. Stems are beautiful when used in cut flower bouquets. Plant in the garden with Echinacea, Rudbeckia and fall blooming Anemones.  Native to North America. Arrives to you in a quart-sized pot
