Also called Tussock Sedge  A rhizomous evergreen sedge thats naturally occurring in riverbeds, banks and wetlands in most of the northeast US. Fine bright green foliage last mosts of the year and offers up bold color in both sun and shade. In spring, flower stalks appear and give way to chocolate-brown seed heads that are both attractive and ecologically beneficial. A great choice for wet areas for rain gardens and erosion control.
