Iris germanica 'Double Your Fun' 'Double Your Fun' features pearly white standard petals and creamy yellow fall petals that bloom in mid-spring and then again throughout summer and fall. An Intermediate Bearded Iris, this variety will grow from 16-21" tall. Bearded Iris have 6 petals. Three face upward, called "standards" and three face downward, called "falls". They get the "beard" name from the fuzzy feature at the upper base of the falls. Grown from a bulb-like tuberous root called a rhizome. The German Iris family are fragrant, bloom twice a year, and form clumps of sword shaped leaves. They are easy to grow and generally deer and rabbit resistant. Plant in full sun with well-drained, fertile soil. Once established, they can become somewhat drought tolerant. Too much water can rot the rhizomes.
