A good early 18th century antique Georgian Welsh oak country press, housekeeper's cupboard, circa 1720.This very handsome country oak press has a sptrepped cornice, with a pair of arched fielded panel doors enclosing a large storage area fitted with original hand carved hooks to the interior. The base having four corresponding arched fielded panels, and provides significant storage, below are three drawers, the cabinet is raised on stile feet. The doors and drawers have period brass pulls, the cabinet is made from finely grained solid oak and has a radiant warm brown patina.The press is in very good condition and has just lovingly received a coat of wax polish in Bloomsbury's professional workshops, this period country cupboard is ready to grace your space.ProvenanceFrom a 17th century manor house in the town of Camarthen South West Wales
