A good antique carved oak English George I wainscot chair, Yorkshire, circa 1720.The chair with a carved back crest with scrolled interlaced carving below and a pair of turned finials to each side, the chair back with turned appliques and carved geometric devices. The chair skirt having a corresponding carved crest & stylized floral carving, the chair is raised on turned legs & joined with stretchers. The chair has a wonderful deep & warm patination built up over 300 years, condition is very good, the chair is tight and stable and ready to grace your home.
