Antique French Renaissance Revival Carved Oak Barley Twist Server Buffet 1870

A very good antique carved oak French three tier buffet/server, circa 1870.The back having a gallery carved with foliate & a lion's head crest, the top edge of the server carved with an a 'egg & dart' border. The three tiers are supported with eight 'Barley Twist' supports, the middle tier having twin drawers carved with lion's head pulls and stylized oak leaf carving. The bottom tier with a slanted plinth base and the server is raised on stile feet.Condition is very good indeed, the buffet with a mellow rich patina and has just been given a polish with beeswax in Bloomsbury's workshops.
