Handcrafted wood barrette in **extremely** rare Spalted Koa wood. Size: Medium approx. 3" size of clip: 70mm / 2 3/4" Good barrette to pull back a section of normal thickness hair or all of fine hair. Curly Koa  (Hawaiian Islands)   - Reddish to dark brown with some black streaks, Medium texture usually with straight grain to wavy.  Because this species is in limited supply it is hard to find and is expensive. It's next to impossible to find spalted koa lumber, I had some pieces left over from a jewelry box I made.
