Olmec Necklace

We had a great deal of fun designing this statement sterling silver and brass bead necklace. What started out as a sketch, transformed through omissions, additions and over-all play with a multitude of elements and ended up with an interesting ethnic, global design. Each half-moon and ornate Moroccan top shape is hand cut and soldered together. Then a sterling tube is soldered to the top of each shape as a bail and lastly put it into place with brass beads separating each element. A light charcoal patina brings out the details and it all flows freely on a sterling rolo chain. My signature stamp is located on the back.
